The EU co-funded AgriVET – Enhancing Women Entrepreneurship in Agriculture project officially began with a successful in-person kick-off meeting held on 10-11 March in Pyrgos, Greece, bringing together project partners to initiate collaboration and define a shared vision for the years ahead.
The meeting provided a valuable platform to align on project objectives, exchange expertise and outline key activities, including capacity building programmes, development of digital learning tools and the introduction of innovative, competence-based approaches in vocational education and training.
AgriVET aims to strengthen the role of women in the agricultural sector by equipping them with entrepreneurial, digital and practical skills, while also fostering stronger links between education, industry and local communities. Through a combination of training, knowledge exchange and stakeholder engagement, the project will contribute to more inclusive, resilient and sustainable agribusiness ecosystems.
The kick-off meeting marked an important milestone in establishing a strong partnership and a clear roadmap for implementation. With a shared commitment to impact, partners are now moving forward to deliver activities that will support women entrepreneurs in agriculture to grow, innovate and lead.
